LA OPCIÓN POR EL POBRE DESPUÉS DE APARECIDA. CONFIRMACIÓN, DESAFÍO Y BÚSQUEDA

Resumen

Aparecida vuelve sobre la opción por el pobre, lo que lleva a desafíos totalmente inéditos en la vivencia de su misma opción y plantea la búsqueda que se le hace a la investigación, no sólo teológica sino política y social, respecto a la opción por el pobre. Aparecida presenta dicha opción por el pobre como esencialmente teológica y cristológica y pone un punto final a todas las discusiones, enfrentamientos, ambigüedades, oposiciones, que suscitó la expresión y la vivencia de la opción por el pobre. Por eso el Documento de Aparecida se plantea como desafío el avanzar en la opción por el pobre y hace una invitación a buscar un nuevo concepto de pobre. El pobre no se define por lo que no es sino por lo que es.

Abstract

Aparecida returns on the option for the poor, what challenges like never else before this living of this option. It also establishes the search done through research not only the theological, but social and political research regarding the option for the poor. Aparecida presents this option for the poor essentially as theological and Christological and ends all discussions, confrontations, ambiguities and controversies generated by the expression and the living option for the poor. For this reason, the resulting text of the Aparecida gathering states as a challenge the advance in this option for the poor and revises the concept of the poor. The poor is defined by what it is not, not by what it is.
